What I do with your details, in plain English.

Who I am
This website is run by Ryan Harris, trading as RH Tyres, a sole trader based in Bushey, Hertfordshire (“I”, “me” or “RH Tyres”), a mobile tyre fitting service. I am the “controller” of the personal information described below under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What information I collect
- Enquiry form: your name, mobile number, postcode, the service you need and anything you write in the message box. Your email address and vehicle registration are optional. I also record which page of the site you used.
- Phone calls, texts and WhatsApp: your number and whatever you tell me, such as your location and vehicle details.
- Jobs and payments: your name, contact details, vehicle, the work I did and what you paid. Card payments are handled by the payment provider, so I never see your full card number.
- Website analytics (only if you accept cookies): pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you found the site. See the cookie policy.
Why I use it, and my legal basis

I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling. I will only send you marketing messages if you have asked me to.
Who I share it with
I only share information with the services that help me run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Supabase stores the enquiries sent through the form.
- Resend delivers the email alert that tells me about a new enquiry.
- Cloudflare manages this website's domain name and its traffic.
- Google provides website analytics (only if you accept cookies) and the Google Business Profile listing.
- DVLA receives a vehicle registration number if you enter one into the form, so the site can look up the vehicle's make and year.
- Accountants, payment providers and invoicing software that I use for payments and tax records.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where that happens, your information is protected by approved safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge. I may also share information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a job: up to 24 months.
- Job, invoice and payment records: 6 years, which is what I need for tax purposes.
- Analytics data: according to Google Analytics' retention settings, which I keep short.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information I hold about you;
- ask me to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask me to delete your information, unless I have to keep it by law;
- ask me to restrict or stop using it in some situations, including objecting to uses based on legitimate interests;
- ask for your information in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time, using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
To use any of these rights, call or email me using the details above. I aim to reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I have used your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I use personal information I will update this page and the date at the top.
