Terms of service
What you can expect from me, and what I need from you.
Last updated: 1 November 2026
1. Who these terms are with
These terms apply to work done for you by Ryan Harris, trading as RH Tyres, a sole trader based in Bushey, Hertfordshire (“I” or “me”). By booking a callout or accepting a quote you agree to them. Nothing in these terms takes away your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. What I do
I supply and fit tyres, repair punctures where it is safe and legal to do so, and carry out related work such as TPMS valves, locking wheel nut removal and wheel changes, at your home, workplace or roadside. My services are described on the services page.
3. Quotes and prices
I will give you a price before I start work, and it will say whether VAT is included. The price I quote is the price you pay unless the job turns out to be different from what you described, for example a different tyre size or a second problem I find. In that case I will tell you the new price and you can choose whether to go ahead.
4. Arrival times
Any arrival time I give you is an honest estimate, not a guarantee. Traffic, weather and other callouts can change it, and I will let you know if I am running late.
5. Where I can work
I need a place to work safely, such as a driveway, a car park or a safe roadside position. If I judge the location to be unsafe, for example a live carriageway or the hard shoulder of a motorway, I may ask you to move the vehicle to a safe place, or I may decline to start work there. If you are in immediate danger, call 999.
6. Tyres and vehicle details
I check the tyre size, speed rating and load rating against your registration and your vehicle. Please tell me anything that affects the choice, such as a different wheel size, a van carrying heavy loads, or an EV. I will only fit a tyre I believe is suitable for your vehicle. If a tyre cannot be repaired safely and legally, I will tell you and recommend a replacement.
7. Payment
Payment is due when the work is finished. I accept contactless card, bank transfer and payment link. A VAT invoice is available on request.
8. Cancelling
You can cancel a booking at any time before I set off, at no charge. If you cancel after I have set off or arrived, I will tell you at the time of the quote whether a callout charge applies.
If you book work in advance rather than in an emergency, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing to it. If you ask me to start work straight away (for example an emergency callout) you accept that once the work has been fully done you can no longer cancel, and if you cancel after work has started, you will pay for the work done up to that point.
9. Safety after fitting
I tighten wheel nuts to the vehicle manufacturer's specification. As good practice, wheel nuts should be re-checked after about 50 miles, and tyre pressures should be checked regularly. Please contact me straight away if anything feels wrong with the vehicle after I have worked on it.
10. If something goes wrong
I carry out work with reasonable care and skill, and tyres I supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If you are not happy, please call me or email me promptly with the details. I will put right any faults in my work or in the goods I supplied, as the law requires.
Nothing in these terms limits my responsibility for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, I am responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of my breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care, but not for indirect losses that could not reasonably have been expected.
11. Your information
I use your information as set out in the privacy policy.
12. Complaints
Please contact me first on 07599 512515 or at info@rhtyres.co.uk and I will try to sort it out.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
14. Changes
I may update these terms. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies to that job.
